Malcolm Barrett stars as Lem Hewitt on ABC’s whacky office comedy, Better Off Ted. Lem works as a research scientist under Ted at Veridian Dynamics. Lem is best friends and co-workers with Phil.
The two of them are a deadly pair that can invent whatever hairbrain scheme the powers that be ask for.
Jonathan Slavin stars as Phil Mymen on ABC’s new comedy, Better Off Ted. Phil is a top research scientist at Veridian Dynamics and works directly under Ted.
Phil is married but seems fairly inept at that relationship. He seems a little better at his one with his co-worker and best friend, Lem.
Phil is easily manipulated into doing whatever the company asks such as freezing himself in the pilot.
Rose Crisp, played by Isabella Acres, is Ted’s daughter. She often asks Ted questions which make Ted question the unscrupulous policies practised by Veridian (such as cryonically freezing Phil).
She also get alongs with Veronica Palmer when she she comes to the office and Veronica Palmer offers to look after her while Ted has to work at the labs.
Andrea Anders stars as Linda Zwordling on ABC’s comedy, Better Off Ted. Linda works in the testing department at Veridian and definitely seems to resent the company. Linda would rather be spending time getting her children’s novel done.
Linda and Ted definitely seem to share good chemistry together, bet Ted already wasted his one office affair on his boss, Veronica.
Veronica is Ted’s immediate superior. She’s a dynamic and efficient leader who doesn’t let silly things like feelings or the lives of innocents stand in the way of success. She’s a no-nonsense company woman who rarely lets her hair down.
In spite of Veronica’s steely exterior, there are rumors that she has a softer side. Ted swears he’s seen it but everyone else is dubious.
Veronica respects Ted because he’s almost as smart and attractive as she is. But not quite. That’s why she makes three times his salary.
Ted Crisp played by Jay Harrington is senior vice-president of Research and Development at Veridian Dynamics. He’s a legend in the world of R&D and leads a team of the smartest scientists in the world. Nothing is impossible to Ted. Need a pig born with honey-glazed skin? Done. Need a bathtub stain remover that doubles as a delicious cocktail? Done and done. Ted’s employees idolize him and he loves developing cutting-edge technology and being part of creating the future.
The one problem with his job is that Veridian tends to be immoral, unethical and occasionally pure evil. And sometimes Ted’s drive to succeed at the company causes him to blur the line between right and wrong. Luckily Ted has his precocious seven-year-old daughter Rose to keep him on the right path. He has to raise Rose by himself because his wife left them to go become a hippie in Africa.
